Members of The Snow Lake Initiative are invited to submit their graphic designs for a 4” x 9” rack-card for five (5) established Muskoka businesses. Capture five stand-alone brands, balanced and inspired by the simplicity and beauty that is Muskoka, and add in your own ad!

The Brief

Soul Sistas Restaurant, Four Seasons Greens, Croxall Farms, Sunrise Veggies & Best Ever Nuts are looking to support a Canadian freelance artist, through The Snow Lake Initiative, to design a 4” x 9” vertical rack-card.

The Opportunity

Should have three equally spaced ads per side, with blank space separating the ads. It should be double-sided.

A creative header and footer should be included.

Sample image is not to scale.

One (1) design will be selected by the client(s).

The Selected Artist will:

Get their own creative business represented on the rack-card (They get one of the 4” by 1.75” ad spaces).

Potentially receive exposure and credit for their design work through all business’ marketing channels. (On top of having their design printed and physically presented in stores).

Receive exposure and credit for their design work through The Snow Lake Initiative’s social channels.

Receive $175.00 CAD through E-transfer because “potentially” and “exposure” don’t pay the bills.

The Deadline

All submissions must be emailed to with the subject line: Open-Call by Sunday, April 14th 2019 at midnight in your residential time-zone.

Simple Guidelines In Simple Language

  2. Only the selected artist will receive compensation for their selected design. No aspects of design from submissions not selected by the clients will be incorporated into any final designs.

  3. Members are invited to submit as many versions of their design for this project as their heart desires, but see #2.

  4. The selected artist agrees to allow The Snow Lake Initiative and the five clients listed above in this brief to use their submitted graphic work world-wide, royalty-free, forever.

  8. The Snow Lake Initiative reserves the right to ignore inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions.

  9. The selected artist must be able to receive e-transfers.
