Members of The Snow Lake Initiative are invited to submit samples of their past graphic design work to be considered for a new Logo Design for Influencers Motivating Influencers - a group of people on a journey to help educate people about mental illness & the positive affects of anti-bullying, leadership, goal setting & self-esteem.

Meet The Client!

Every year, more than 800,000 people die from suicide; this roughly corresponds to 1 death every 40 seconds. Suicide is among the three leading causes of death among those aged 15-44 years in some countries, and the second leading cause of death in the 10-24 years age group; these figures do not include suicide attempts which can be many times more frequent than suicide. In the Canadian Arctic and Alaska the problem is much more serious. In the Nunavut Territory in 2016, 32 people took their own lives and there were 112 attempts. Just in Nunavut’s Capital there were 8 suicides in 2016. Like Nunavut, Alaska has the highest rate of suicide deaths, seeing 200 in 2016. This is the highest number in the last 20 years. There are many similarities between Nunavut and Alaska…Remote Locations, Lack of Sun, Social Problems, and loss of Tradition to name a few.

This problem has no cure as of yet.

People are scared to talk about suicide and resources for assistance are minimal and uncomfortable for people to utilize. We feel that if we open up and discuss the issues, and motivate people to find a purpose in their lives and to live life healthy and happy, as well as assist and teach others about goal setting and leadership we will help make people successful and curb some of the social problems that exist in remote Communities.

Their goal: have influencers motivate local leaders and other potential influencers to create change and bring awareness to the social problems and the opportunities so everyone can be successful.

For the past seven years, their focus has been on Remote Northern Canada but soon, they will expand to Southern Indigenous communities. Their logo design should not have a sole focus on North, Inuit or Nunavut.

The Opportunity

The selected designer will be e-introduced to the client via email to coordinate the logo design. At this time, correspondence will remain between the client and the designer but we will still be available for support if there any hiccups. The client would like to have the final working files ready by August 1, 2019.

The Selected artist will receive $200.00 CAD via E-transfer.

  2. All members are invited to submit samples of their past graphic design work combined in a 2 page PDF.

  3. The selected designer should accommodate modifications within reason. We have informed the client that around five revisions are reasonable, and any more should be considered “above and beyond” and should be compensated fairly.

  4. The Snow Lake Initiative reserves the right to ignore inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions.

  5. The selected artist must be able to receive e-transfers.
